Lubrication Problem

Small-bore pneumatic cylinders and actuators are often inadequately lubricated due to small air displacements per cycle. Airline lubricant often back-flows through the control valve on each exhaust cycle without reaching the cylinder, resulting in insufficient lubrication. This issue can be solved by using Quick Exhaust Valves at the cylinder port, which redirects the back-flow and ensures the cylinder receives the required oil for proper lubrication.

Air Spring

The Super Quick Exhaust can provide controlled "air spring" return, offering a potential advantage over mechanical spring-return cylinders. The air spring return force can be regulated, and a more economical 3-way valve can be used for cylinder extension. High pressure is used for impact during extension, while lower pressure returns the rod "home."

High-Low Pressure Shuttle

Quick Exhaust Valves are designed for high-low pressure applications. The air from 3-way valves is directed to the cylinder, which reduces noise, shock, and stress on the air cylinder. Cylinder rods can be extended at low pressure for positioning and then locked or repositioned with high pressure, offering flexibility and efficiency.

Other Quick Exhaust Solutions

The Super Quick Exhaust Valves can enhance performance by performing other functions like:

• Shuttle Valve: Preventing rupture and offering tight sealing and greater flow capacity with molded rubber shuttles.
• Check Valve or Speed Control: Plug or restrict flow at the exhaust port for these functions. Available in various sizes, from miniature 10-32 UNF to 3/4 NPT ported models.
