The Gast 4AM-NRV-130 is a compact, lubricated and reversible air motor designed to provide adjustable rotary power using compressed air. Rated up to 1.7 HP with a maximum free speed of 3,000 RPM, the 4AM-NRV-130 provides a practical alternative to an electric motor for industrial equipment, OEM machinery and applications where pneumatic power is preferred. The reversible design allows the motor to operate in either direction, while speed and torque can be controlled by regulating the air supplied to the motor. The 4AM-NRV-130 operates at pressures up to 100 PSI and has an air consumption of up to 72 CFM. It produces 36 in-lb of torque at maximum speed, with stall torque up to 56 in-lb. An air-cushioned startup helps provide controlled motor operation. Because the 4AM-NRV-130 is air driven, it does not require an electrical power source at the motor. Its cool-running design and lack of electrical sparking make it suitable for specified hazardous-location applications when properly installed and operated in accordance with Gast requirements. The motor can also be installed in any orientation, providing flexibility when integrating it into new or existing equipment. The 4AM-NRV-130 features 3/8" NPT air connections and measures approximately 6.58" long x 4.33" wide x 3.78" high. The motor weighs approximately 11 lb and has a maximum sound level of 87 dB(A). Its compact size, face mounting and reversible operation make it well suited for machinery requiring variable speed and torque without the complexity of electrical motor controls. Proper lubrication is important for maintaining performance and service life. Gast recommends supplying lubrication through the compressed air system and using clean, properly filtered air. Speed and torque can be adjusted through air pressure and flow to match the requirements of the application.
