The Gast 8AM-NRV-28A is a powerful, lubricated, reversible 4-vane rotary air motor designed to convert compressed air into variable-speed mechanical power for demanding industrial and OEM applications. Rated up to 5 HP with a maximum torque of 185 in-lb, maximum speed of 2,500 RPM and maximum operating pressure of 100 PSI (7 bar), the 8AM provides higher-output pneumatic power for applications requiring substantial torque and precise speed control. The reversible design provides low-shock, instant start, stop and reverse operation, while speed and torque can be controlled by regulating the air supplied to the motor. The 8AM-NRV-28A can operate in any position, providing flexibility when integrating it into machinery and equipment. Properly sized air lines, filtration, pressure regulation and lubrication are important for achieving reliable performance and service life. As a non-electrical air motor, the 8AM-NRV-28A is designed for demanding industrial environments, including appropriately classified hazardous locations involving combustible gas and dust.
