The Gast 6AM-NRV-11A is a powerful, lubricated, reversible rotary vane air motor designed to provide variable-speed rotary power using compressed air. Rated up to 4 HP with a maximum speed of 3,000 RPM and maximum operating pressure of 100 PSI (7 bar), it provides a durable pneumatic power source for industrial equipment, OEM machinery and applications requiring frequent starting, stopping or reversing. The motor weighs approximately 13 lb and has a maximum sound level of 90 dBA. The reversible design allows the motor to operate effectively in either direction, while speed and torque can be controlled by regulating the air pressure supplied to the motor. The 6AM Series can be installed in any orientation, providing flexibility when integrating the motor into machinery and equipment. Gast recommends clean compressed air with proper filtration, pressure regulation and lubrication for reliable performance and service life. As a non-electrical air motor, the 6AM-NRV-11A is designed for demanding industrial environments, including appropriately classified hazardous locations involving combustible gas and dust. Its pneumatic design also provides instant start, stop and reverse operation without the delays associated with changing the speed or direction of some electric motor systems. The Gast datasheet specifies a hazardous ambient operating range of +1°C to +40°C.
