built at your facility at your convenience. Continental will supply the complete set of components and hardware.
Low Profile
Option suited for applications with moderate fluid volume and flow rate. Solution where space is premium, or power of a NFPA/JIC-Style unit is needed in a smaller, less expensive package.
NFPA/JIC
Created for heavier duty, continuous-use industrial applications requiring design flexibility and
rugged construction.
L Shape
Ideal for high fluid volume and flow rate applications. Removable tank cover simplifies cleaning.
Features flooded suction inlets eliminating the need for the pump to lift hydraulic fluid, reducing wear and tear.
Little Champ: Power in a Compact and Quiet Package
The Little Champ power unit is designed to deliver economical and efficient performance in a compact form. It's easy to configure, with stocked components that enable fast delivery. While typically an intermittent unit, with the right features, it can be equipped to run continuously, even in rugged conditions.
These units are known for their small footprint. We refer to them as vertical units, where the pump motor is mounted vertically in the reservoir, with the pump submerged in fluid. This design makes the pump quiet and ensures positive inlet (flooded suction), extending the life of the pump.
- Gear Pumps: SAE AA and SAE A sizes, offering .5 GPM to 12 GPM.
- Vane Pumps: PVR6/HPVR6/PVX8 sizes, with the added benefit of pressure and flow adjustment through the side of the reservoir.
Additionally, a WASH-DOWN option is available for industries like food processing or other applications requiring easy cleaning.
Little Champ Kits: Customizable and Convenient
This power unit can be assembled at your facility for added flexibility. Continental provides the complete set of components and hardware for easy assembly.
Key Features of the Little Champ Power Unit:
- Vertical Style Tanks: Available in sizes ranging from 10 gallons to 40 gallons.
- Vertical Mount Motors: Motor sizes range from 1/2 hp to 20 HP (460/60/3), with single-phase motors available up to 3 HP.
- Submerged Pump Design: The vertical mount pump is submerged in oil, providing quieter operation and a longer-lasting pump. Pump sizes range from .5 GPM to 12 GPM, with pressure ratings up to 3600 PSI.
- Vertical Valve Assemblies: Manifolds are available in D03 with 1-6 stations.
- Filtration Options: Both in-tank and inline filters are available.
- Pressure/Flow Adjustments: Easy pressure and flow adjustments through the reservoir wall.
- Heat Exchangers: Available for case drain and return line cooling to help manage system temperature.
This unit is ideal for applications requiring efficient, space-saving hydraulic power with long-lasting durability.
Low Profile: When Space is at a Premium
The Low Profile power unit is designed for applications where space is limited. This unit offers convenient access to components, making adjustments and maintenance quick and efficient. It’s economical and easy to configure, without sacrificing quality.
- Pump Motors: Mounted horizontally on top of the reservoir to save space.
- Compact Design: Similar to the JIC unit but with the legs removed to fit in tight spaces.
- Integrated Filter: The filter is built into the top plate, so all standard components are contained within the frame of the reservoir.
Pump Options:
- PVR6 Line of Pumps: 4-10 GPM up to 2000 PSI.
